Yay me!
So the show is up and ready for tomorrow. I am even more excited than before because it looks way better up and on the walls. It definitely is a more professional looking show than my last one in June.
I actually hung it all last night with the help of my wonderful husband, Janel (the owner of Proximity gallery), her husband Pete (who rocks at this stuff), and Janel’s sister. We had a good time. We started at 8pm last night and ended this morning around 1:30. It was a great experience and it really got me prepared mentally for tomorrow.
I am exhausted though. I got up this morning because I do have to teach at 6am so I am hurting. Even though it was a rare and extremely late night for me, it was so worth it. I will just have to take a nap after school today like my 6 year old students in Kindergarten.
So I hope to see you all tomorrow night at Proximity Gallery between 6-9pm. I will be there earlier than 6pm waiting. My family will be there (mom, dad, 3 brothers, 1 sister, in-laws, and maybe a nephew here and there) and a slew of some fantastic and supportive friends. Thanks again to all of my family, friends, husband, and anonymous peeps for the support. Thanks to Janel and Pete of Proximity Gallery for giving me a solo show.
See you tomorrow!
