Yay me! I did it. I finished my first ever quilt. I didn’t even take a class so I am super happy with the result. I can’t take all the credit though because I did buy a kit from spool sewing. The kit is called the “Magic Quilt Top kit” and it came with instructions, fabric for the top layer and to make bias tape. I got to choose the backing fabric which I also got at Spool Sewing here in Philadelphia. If you live in Philly or ever visit Philly, this place is a must stop if you love awesome fabric. You can find them on South Street between 19th and 20th (1912 South st.). They also offer classes and have a store online so you can too order patterns and kits to make beautiful things…..here is their website for more info.

Anyway, below are some more pictures of my finished quilt.

As you can see Miss Annick loves her quilt. I thought this was a good choice for her because it is something that will grow with her. It might not cover her whole body forever but as for the color choice, I thought it wasn’t too girly or overwhelming and it can go with any decor.

Let me know what you think of the quilt. I made a lot of little mistakes but I am really happy with how it turned out. I love me some feedback so judge away.

Thanks for stopping by.
