I hate Yahoo but I like flickr…sometimes

Posted December 4th, 2008 in Benefits by marie

Yeah I hate Yahoo! The reason is that I wanted to post some pictures of what I gave to Chris Clark for his benefit this Saturday (see my last post http://uniqueannick.com/2008/12/01/beef-and-beer-for-a-good-cause/ for more information). I couldn’t do that because I misplaced my password and ID for my flickr account and Yahoo! makes it impossible to retrieve it–believe me I have tried, so has my husband. It is so frustrating because it has all the photos from the old work that are on this website.  The pieces that I gave Chris are a bit older so the picture of those pieces are located in the old flickr account and I didn’t realize this till this morning…idiot!

The pictures of my newest work come from my new flickr account that I had to create because my old account is lost. So, sorry for not showing you what I gave Chris for this Saturday. You will just have to come to the benefit this Saturday at Cafe Estelle to see what I donated. Remember $20 at the door and $1 per raffle. Hope to see you all there. It starts at 5pm.

If you need to vent about Yahoo! the floor is open.

BEEF and BEER for a good cause

Posted December 1st, 2008 in Benefits by marie

Hello all. I want to invite all of you to come to an all you can eat and drink Beef and Beer benefit at Cafe Estelle http://www.cafeestelle.com/. It takes place this Saturday, December 6, 2008 and starts at 5pm.

This benefit is being put on by a local artist and friend Chris Clark. Chris’s brother passed away recently and left behind his 2 year-old son, Kayden. Chris and his family already set up an education fund so the money from this event will go towards that fund. So if you are around please come out and enjoy yourself.

Here are more details. It is just $20 at the door and that gets you food, drink and one raffle ticket. There will be assorted artwork, jewelry, gift certificates, pottery, clothing, and other local goodies that will be raffled off. The raffle tickets are only a $1 and there is some pretty cool stuff out there including some of my own work.

For those of you that don’t know where Cafe Estelle is, it is located in Northern Liberties section of Philly on 4th St between Spring Garden and Callowhill streets.

Hope to you see you all there!
